The PokeRulez

Here are the rules for the various challenges I will be undertaking. If you don't know what I'm talking about, I would recommend reading my first post.

A big influence through all of the teams is the Nuzlocke challenge, which the main rules are you can only catch the first Pokemon in an area and when a Pokemon faints, it has to be released. The main thing I'm taking from the Nuzlocke is that it limits the total number of Pokemon I can have and use. I'm also going to try and not repeat Pokemon from team to team, but we'll see how that goes.

I might need to change or adjust some of these rules as I go, but my goal is to stay as close to these rules as possible. As I start each specific game, I'll give the rules for that run in that intro.

General Modified Rules
Can only catch one pokemon per area, but it can be up to the third encounter. Gift pokemon and in-game trades don't count toward those numbers.

Both pokemon obtained in game and through wonder trade qualify unless otherwise stated.

If that pokemon doesn't fit the parameters for the team, it must be wonder traded immediately.

If a pokemon received through wonder trade fits the parameters of the team, it must be kept, either on the team or in the PC box. If it does not it must be traded immediately unless its a legendary/mythical pokemon or a shiny pokemon for keeping, but cannot be used on a later team.

If a pokemon qualifies for a team but its mega-evolution changes its type so that it otherwise wouldn't, it still qualifies because its a temporary change of form and is still the same species of pokemon.

If a pokemon's mega-evolution only qualifies for a team but the base form doesn't, the pokemon cannot be used.

If a pokemon has multiple forms, only the one that fits the parameters of the team may be used.

1. Wonder Trade Team
All pokemon on the team must be received through wonder trade. Any given or caught pokemon must be wonder traded. All pokemon received through Wonder Trade are eligible for the team.

2. 6 Pokemon Limit
At the beginning, must start with 6 Pokemon, all received through Wonder Trade. Those are the six I must complete the game with.

3. Starter Team
The only eligible pokemon for this team are those that are the evolutionary lines of the main series games. Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Treeco, Torchic, Mudkip, Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie, Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio evolutionary lines all qualify. Pikachu also qualifies, but not Raichu since the one in pokemon yellow could not evolve.

8. Non-evolving Team
Only pokemon that aren't a part of an evolutionary process qualify.
Those with form differences and mega-evolution still qualify.

9. GEN I Team
Pokemon introduced in Generation I qualify.
If a pokemon from a different generation will evolve into a pokemon that qualifies, it can be on the team. Alolan forms do not qualify as they were introduced in GEN VII.
If a pokemon is from this generation would evolve into a pokemon from a different pokemon, it may not evolve to continue to qualify.

10. GEN II Team
Pokemon introduced in Generation II qualify.
If a pokemon from a different generation will evolve into a pokemon that qualifies, it can be on the team.
If a pokemon is from this generation would evolve into a pokemon from a different pokemon, it may not evolve to continue to qualify.

11. GEN III Team
Pokemon introduced in Generation III qualify.
If a pokemon from a different generation will evolve into a pokemon that qualifies, it can be on the team.
If a pokemon is from this generation would evolve into a pokemon from a different pokemon, it may not evolve to continue to qualify.

12. GEN IV Team
Pokemon introduced in Generation IV qualify.
If a pokemon from a different generation will evolve into a pokemon that qualifies, it can be on the team.
If a pokemon is from this generation would evolve into a pokemon from a different pokemon, it may not evolve to continue to qualify.

13. GEN V Team
Pokemon introduced in Generation V qualify.
If a pokemon from a different generation will evolve into a pokemon that qualifies, it can be on the team.

If a pokemon from a different generation will evolve into a pokemon that qualifies, it can be on the team.
If a pokemon is from this generation would evolve into a pokemon from a different pokemon, it may not evolve to continue to qualify.

15. GEN VII Team
Pokemon introduced in Generation VII qualify.
If a pokemon from a different generation will evolve into a pokemon that qualifies, it can be on the team. The Alolan forms of GEN I  pokemon qualify for this team as they were introduced in GEN VII.
If a pokemon is from this generation would evolve into a pokemon from a different pokemon, it may not evolve to continue to qualify.

16. Moon Team
My team from my Pokemon Moon game where I will be storing the other teams. This mostly will serve as a kind of "control" team for this mad experiment.
